A Science Lab Report Complaint

In science, we have to write three formal lab reports a year. The last one (about weather) was really boring. I decided to add in how weather effects history to make it more interesting. The problem is, I didn't include many references.

The history was all things I'd known for years and years. Mom and Dad taught it! I don't know what books they used. Mrs. Garmong probably wouldn't have liked me putting down "Martha S*****" and "Dave S*****" in the references slot. So, I didn't put anything down.

At the end she wrote:

"Lack of in-text citations: -2"

There were some other problems, too, but the citation thing was the most annoying. Teachers don't even follow the sources unless they're in doubt! Besides, I got the facts right.

I got a 92%, though. That's pretty good for doing something that wasn't at all interesting.
