Dad likes sausage, cheese, beer, debating theology, and teaching. He's a Latin, Greek, and vocabulary teacher online, and an ordained pastor in the American Association of Lutheran Churches.
Mom likes blue and white china, Jane Austen, homemaking, and music. She teaches music history and music theory online, and used to teach piano and flute.
Both of them lived in Missouri until Dad got a job in the Appalachian mountains that wasn't a coal-mining job. They both worked at a school. That's where Lizzie went until 6th grade.
Now it's normal to hear "Roma in Italia est. Italia in Europa est. Eygyptus in Europe non est. Egyptus in Africa sunt." and "Vivaldi was nicknamed the Red Priest, and sometimes, during a mass, he would get an idea for a piece of music and wander off to write it." It feels weird when no one's teaching.
