I'm learning how to play the viola. Dad knows how (and he can play the violin and the cello). His viola fits me, but it's so heavy. So we got a smaller one. It's 15 1/2 inches instead of 17 inches. (The same size my friend Olivia uses. We're about the same size and strength so used her has a measuring stick. Haha.) We're using Suzuki viola books. They're what Dad taught his students violin and cello with.

The case is cloth instead of being hard. The pocket thing is where the shoulder rest is.
The cloth cover is to keep the viola from getting beat up. There's rosin in the compartment.
It's shiny and (so far) un-scathed. Felix runs at the sight of it.
